Sealand has an opportunity for a Building Construction Labourer to join and support our team of construction professionals.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Provide support to carpenters on site
  • Responsible for keeping work areas and project site clean, organized, and free of hazards
  • Loading & Unloading materials | Moving materials and equipment
  • Digging trenches | Compacting earth |Concrete formwork
  • Assist in installation of vapor barrier, insulation, and insulated metal panels
  • Assist in installation of doors, frames, hardware, and windows
  • Basic carpentry tasks and helping the team as needed
  • Strong advocate and leader of the Sealand’s Health & Safety Program by
    • Ensuring a safe working environment for everyone on site
    • Following all safety policies and procedures… all the time
    • Demonstrates good housekeeping habits to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite
    • Completes all daily safety inspections of tools and equipment without prompting
    • Report any safety issues immediately

  

QUALIFICATIONS


  • You are physically fit and able to work on your feet for 8-10 hours per day
  • You are willing to travel weekly throughout the Maritimes
  • Basic reading and math skills
  • You have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving abstract
